Several issues are dealt with in this tale in a way that draws the reader in and makes them feel for the characters involved, whilst also giving the story an added edge. It is guaranteed to draw a response from you; it certainly drew many from me. I occasionally had tears collecting in my eyes, waiting to fall, the story was at times so poignant, and all the while I was rooting for the characters, completely sure that their passion for one another would provide the basis for a brilliant relationship. There are several characters for whom I would love to have a story of their own, but regardless, this is a must read for any romance fan. I highly recommend Alaskan Fire to one and all and will most definitely be reading more from this excellent author!

"Explosively passionate, Alaskan Fire will enflame your senses and makes your imagination quiver in excitement." Landing her dream job of being a television journalist, Jessica Seymour never expected to run into trouble in the form of one of her new bosses, Sam Armstrong. Sam thinks that Jess cannot do the job she was hired for but Jess is about to prove that not only can she do the job but also intends to make Sam eat his words. However, it seems that the past Jess is running from has caught up to her when her abusive ex-boyfriend suddenly shows up. When she uses Sam's name as a deterrent, Jess never expected Sam to take their relationship beyond that of friends. Now they cannot deny the spark of attraction that is between them but will it end happily or is their relationship doomed to fail? Explosively passionate, Alaskan Fire will enflame your senses and makes your imagination quiver in excitement. I enjoyed the relationship that flared between Sam and Jess from start to finish. Sam was the quintessential alpha male who had to show Jess who was in charge and I also loved how Jess was able to make Sam sit back and take notice because she was not going to be meek and mild, and allow him to ride over her ideas and objections. These two characters together were like oil and water because they did not mix well unless they were both giving and taking equally. Ms. Carlisle has written not only a fascinating contemporary but also a story with get-up-and-go and I enjoyed every moment of it, so go out and buy it and you can read what I did too. Sheryl
